The Digital Factory Supporting Changeability of Manufacturing Systems

摘要

The paper discusses how the digital factory concept can support changeability of a manufacturing system by providing and managing the relevant factory information in digital model format. A set of algorithms for planning, simulation and manufacturing bottle neck and failure elimination are presented. In a table format is presented how they will get input information from the digital factory information platform and how output information is feed back to the digital factory. Finally a way of managing and reasoning upon manufacturing concepts is discussed. This will be an important part in realizing a digital factory that can support all different manufacturing activities.
