No business like show business

Ian Potter looks back at the national and county show season in his monthly column on milk quota matters. Ihave been whizzing about at very great speed across the length and breadth of Britain during these last two months or so. So much so that I'd give Anneka Rice a run for her money - without the annoying cheesy grin and infamous backside though. It has, of course, been show time. I, and the Potter girls, have attended almost all the major county and national shows. And how good and enjoyable theyhave generally been. Attending these shows is vital for our business, we reckon, as they give us the opportunity to meet farmers face to face to discuss the quota market, allow us to keep our fingers on the pulse of what is happening and what producersaround the country are thinking. With quota being such an important issue we are always inundated with queries and questions. In return, we try to get as much feedback from producers as possible.
