We are proud of our cows - the herd was the first Friesian herd in the area and dates from 1910. The last bought-in females came from Scotland together with a bull in 1953. This means our breeding is consistent, which considerably helps with our youngbull enterprise. We are on the first day of TT testing and it's pouring with rain. I am luckily placed in the jeep as the paperwork must stay dry. However Steve is wet, Joe is wet and the vet has just dropped his scissors and is doggedly prodding the muddy ground with his wellie boot.
