David farms 183ha in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park with the help of his son Matthew. They run a 160-strong herd of pedigree Holstein Friesians, some of which are naturally polled. The cows have done much better for grass through May and this has resulted in us drying 30 cows off during May, but the milk has not altered, In fact the average daily total for May will be slightly higher than April.
