Although widely regarded as the spiritual home of TMR feeding, the US is only just waking up to the importance of mix quality, the scratch factor, and the role of fibre in rations for dairy cows. Coals to Newcastle, ice-cream to Eskimos: taking TMR to North America probably fits into the same category. But while the US might be legitimately seen as the pioneer of mixed ration feeding, it doesn't have all the answers.
