DOWN ON THE DAIRY FARM

A first-generation dairy farmer who started milking by hand and taking churns of milk out to the end of the lane by horse and cart. He now lists horses as one of his hobbies, along with classical music and trying to guess what Milk Marque will do next. A chap dropped in to see me this week to pick my brains and ask for some advice. I cannot be too specific, for fear of betraying a confidence and identifying him, however the case is tragic and raises many pertinent questions facing the industry at present and I will share it with you in a disguised form.
