Dutch failed to test feed

DUTCH milk producers are demanding written guarantees from feed merchants that their products contain no meat and bonemeal following confirmation of the first case of BSE in the Netherlands in March. The country's daily farming paper, Agrarisch Dagblad, claims that although imported feed is checked on an administrative basis, not a single gram has been tested for meat and bone content in the Netherlands since 1989.
