How would you cope with yet another dry summer with limited grazing and the threat of low winter forage stocks? Rachael Porter has been to see one East Anglian producer who seems to have found the perfect solution for his herd. To look at his fields of luscious green grass it's hard to believe that it is in short supply in the summer months for Nick Tibbenham's Suffolk-based dairy herd. Yet his family has been forced to adapt management to suit an annual rainfall of just 500mm, and a grazing season which begins in early April yet can end in June.
