Quality Engineering Technician -- NDE Program A joint initiative developed by Mohawk College and CINDE

The Canadian NDT Industry is not unlike the rest of the world with an increasing shortfall of Nondestructive Testing Technicians. A recent survey in North America indicated that the shortage of NDT Inspectors is greater than 5000 (3,500 US and 1,500 CA) and with an average age of 43 to 47 in the United States and Canada respectively, the problem is increasing. It is estimated that 50 percent of the present workforce will leave the NDT profession through attrition and advancement opportunities. The Canadian Institute for NDE and Mohawk College have jointly addressed the need for promoting and educating our next generation to fill the increasing gap through a fast track two year co-op program, Quality Engineering Technician - NDE.
