The Technical Services Division of Bl & I offers many specialized applications including IRIS-9000 exchanger tube inspection, API Floorscanner inspections and Phased Array Ultrasonic testing (PAUT). IRIS-9000 tube inspection is in an ultrasonic immersion pulse echo technique that measures remaining tube thicknesses in all heat exchangers, fin fan air coolers, boilers, condensers and chillers. This system is self calibrating, stores minimum thicknesses, generates on-site reporting and can measure all tubes sizes from 0.34" to 2.75" internal diameters with an accuracy to 0.002".
