The penta-[{Mn-III(4-MeO-salen)(H2O)(mu-CN)}(4)Cr-III(CN)(2)](+) and trinuclear [{Mn-III(4-MeO-salen)(H2O)(mu-CN)}(2)CrIII-(CN)(4)](-) units coexist in 1 with weak antiferromagnetic interactions which are overcome by a dc magnetic field of 2.5 T.
