Synthesis of chiral large-ring triangular salen ligands and structuralcharacterization of their complexes

Large chiral triangular macrocycles having three salen ligand sites were obtained by cyclocondensationof trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane with linearly connected bis-salicylaldehydes. Structures of the ligandsand their titanium(IV) or zinc(II) complexes have been characterized by means of spectroscopic (CD)and computational (DFT) methods.
