摘要

The polyethylene Bralen RB 03-23 is material which is conventionally not-be-bonded. The experiment of hot air butt welding and ultrasonic overlapping was carried out. The specimens were butt bonded by ORGAFIX epoxy adhesive and SCOTCH WELD acrylic adhesive with overlapping. The tensile tests revealed maximum strength of joints which represents 70 percent of strength of parent metal at 230 deg C welding temperature. The strength of joints bonded with acrylic adhesive is lower by about one third in comparison to the strength of welded joints. The joints bonded by epoxy adhesive with the lowest strength were studied.
