Welding and heat-treatment of jojints made of dissimilar materials

Welding and allied heat-treatments of dissimilar joints belong to the complicated tasks for an engineer. That's why the basic considerations and the solutions shall be discussed in these proceedings, whereby the basic information is taken from various publications of Com. XI of IIW. The welding and heat-treatment aspects are discussed separately for black-black (ferritic-ferritic) joints and black-white (ferritic-austenitic) joints.
