(Reuters) - Canadian spot natural gas prices fell on Thursday after reports showed already abundant North American gas inventories piling up at a faster than expected pace.Spot gas at the AECO storage hub in southeastern Alberta averaged $2.83 a gigajoule, down 12 Canadian cents.Deals were done between $2.70 and $2.92 a gigajoule.Alberta wholesale gas is worth less than a third of what it was a year ago and the storage overhang that has pressured prices for months has intensified.
