The Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors is recommending that its members pay rig workers about 10% less as of May 1 than had been their recommended pay since October 2008."It's not going to make a difference between whether or not an E&P company (explorer and producer) drills a specific well," said Bruce Jones, chairman of the board of Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors. "But overall for the industry, it will support a higher activity level."
