Budget Reductions Show $20 Billion Drop In Capital Spending Plans For 2009

With oil prices stabilizing at higher levels in the past two months a few Canadian producers have revealed plans to increase capital spending this year but overall budgets remain close to $12 billion below initial plans announced last fall.A total of 93 Canadian producers have released capital spending plans for 2009 and they show a combined budget cutback of $20.59 billion from actual expenditures last year.
