Bombardier Aerospace, headquartered near Montreal International Airport (Dorval), is an international, integrated organization with full design and production operations in three countries. Bombardier is the third largest manufacturer of civil aircraft in the world and employs more than 34 000 people. The St-Laurent facility (214 360 m~2) houses component manufacturing for various aircraft, including Bombardier Canadair 415 (firefighting amphibian), Challenger 604, CRJ Series aircraft, and the long-range, high-speed Global Express. The facility also houses structural component manufacturing for other aircraft builders such as Boeing and Aerospatiale (www.bombardier.com).
