New Delhi (Reuters) - An expected surge in India's gas supply will help speed the development of cross-country pipelines, expand the use of gas to power cars, and help GAIL India raise gas transmission by half, the firm's chairman said.India's natural gas output is expected to nearly double by the end of the year when Reliance Industries, which started production from its giant deep-sea field on Wednesday, reaches its full capacity of 80 million metric cubic metres a day.
