July Licence Count Lowest Since 1992

The number of new well permits issued across Canada fell from June to 696 licences last month, the lowest July count since 1992. Oil-prone Saskatchewan and Manitoba saw an increase from the month of June but gas-prone Alberta and British Columbia both had lower counts as natural gas prices continued to fall.
