Bakken, Whitesands Plays Boost Petrobank Reserves

Petrobank Energy and Resources Ltd.'s proved plus probable reserves grew 61% last year to 156.7 million bbls of oil equivalent.Much of the increase came from higher reserves in the company's Canadian operations, especially its heavy oil reserves and its Bakken light oil play. In the year ended Dec. 31, 2008, Petrobank's Canadian conventional, proved plus probable reserves rose 95% to 59.5 million BOE, replacing 2008 production more than 5.5 times, according to an independent reserves report.
