Saskatchewan's non-renewable resource revenue forecast has fallen by $930.1 million from original budget estimates, although the surge in oil prices helped prevent a larger drop. Thanks to stronger oil prices, the government now forecasts oil revenue of $982,5 million for the fiscal year ending next March, a $409.4 million hike from original budget estimates tabled earlier this year, according the government's first quarter update. The increase is primarily due to much higher prices and a narrowing of the differential between the price of West Texas Intermediate light sweet crude and heavy sour crude oil.
