Geology and geochemistry of the Aguas Claras and Pico Iron mines, Iron Quadrangle, Minas Gerais, Brazil

摘要

The Aguas Claras and Pico mines of Mineracoes Brasileiras Reunidas (MBR) are located in the Iron Quadrangle, Brazil, The orebodies of the Aguas Claras and Pico mines are hosted in itabirites (oxidized, metamorphosed, and heterogeneously deformed banded iron formation) of the Caue Formation, Itabira Group. Itabirites are very similar in lithology to most major oxide-facies banded iron formations (BIFs) known worldwide.
