Southern Kuzbass to start new coal preparation plant construction in 2012

Southern Kuzbass (part of Mechel Mining) is implementing a program to increase coal preparation volumes in order toraise its competitiveness. In 2012 the company plans to recommence construction of Sibirginskaya coal preparationplant. The plant has a capacity of 8 mtpy of coal (OS, KS,T ranks). Within the current year the company is planning toprepare the target specification for adjustment of the first stage of the construction project. The company plans tolaunch the first line (4 mtpy of coal) in 2014. The project was developed by Giprougol (Novosibirsk, Russia) in 2009.
