Symposium 2002 on the Environment and Mines/Latest Research and Practices Under Discussion

Are you informed on the latest research on acid mine drainage (AMD)? Does your operation handle volumes of waste material that require disposal? Are you aware of the latest regulations governing the area in which you mine? Throughout the mining industry, environmental concerns are at the forefront of design and engineering plans. Effective management of tailings and waste require much funds and diligence. Issues such as mine reclamation and AMD are on-going concerns with which mining companies are struggling. Environmental responsibility is a real challenge, and industry players are welcoming opportunities to share knowledge and learn about the latest developments. Symposium 2002 on the Environment and Mines, from November 3 to 5 in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, will provide a forum for industry to share solutions and learn about potential improvements to their operations' environmental practices.
