Warum GUM?-Kritische Anmerkungen zur Normdefinition der Messunsicherheit und zu verzerrten Elementarfehlermodellen

This contribution deals with the definitions of uncertainty in measurement, given in the "Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM)" of the European Committee for Standardization. It will be shown that some of these definitions cannot be recommended for use in geodetic survey. Furthermore, it will be shown that "elementary error models", which are constructed with the influence of systematic errors, are not correct.
