Methodologic reporting requirements for clinical trials.

This correspondence is a reaction to an editorial by Dr. Poland entitled "Methodologic reporting requirements for clinical trials: advancing the science today and tomorrow." [Vaccine: 2011; 29: 5087-9]. The importance of safety information and standardized reporting is also highlighted. It concludes with a suggestion on the need to provide safety information for both pre- and post-licensure studies.
