Qualifying staff by promoting competence. New methods and concepts. Business practice today is characterized by a vast number of technological changes. This leads to an increasing demand to correspondingly qualify employees to the changed level of required working qualifications. However, a closer view upon the qualification situation reveals that particularly in small and medium-sized companies still exists a serious lack of suitable qualification methodologies. In this article a new qualification approach is presented using two examples. The presented methodology provides methods and programs based on the understanding of qualification as a setup of competencies.
