Description of the immature stages of Wyeomyia (Spilonympha) howardi Lane & Cerqueira (Diptera: Culicidae) with a redescription of the adults

The immature stages of Wyeomyia {Spilonympha) howardi Lane & Cerqueira are described and illustrated for the first time. The morphology characters of adult male, including genitalia, and female are redescribed and illustrated. The systematic treatmentincludes the geographical distribution of Spilonympha species and bionomics data for Wyeomyia howardi based on recent field collections as well as the literature.
