摘要

A new ligand, L, bearing two ethyl acetate pendant groups has been synthesized by reaction of the precursor ligand L-A with ethylbromoacetate. The coordination capability towards transition [Mn2+, Ni2+], post-transitional [Zn2+ and Cd2+] and Ph2+ ions has been investigated starting from the hydrated perchlorate salts of the metals. The new ligand L and the metal complexes obtained were characterized by elemental analysis, FAB MS, conductivity measurements, magnetic studies, IR, UV-vis and H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopy. Furthermore, the crystal structures of the complexes [MnL](CIO4)(2) and [NiL](ClO4)center dot 2CH3CN were determined.
