US Patent No. 8,025,868 B2; Johnson &Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc., Skill-man, NJ, has patented compositions comprising an ultraviolet radiation-absorbing polymer. It entails a blend containing a UV-absorbing polymer comprising the polymerization reaction product of a first ethylenically unsaturated monomer comprising a first pendant group that comprises a UV-absorbing moiety, and a second pendant group selected from the group consisting of H, or CI to C12 alkyl; and a second ethylenically unsaturated monomer selected from the group consisting of monomethacryloxypropyl polydimethyl-siloxane and methacryloxypropyl tri-methoxysilane, wherein the number of repeat units of said first reacted monomer per molecule is from one to approximately 6000 and the number of repeating units of said second reacted monomer per molecule is from about two to about 6300.
