Minimize risks from cryogenic exposure on LNG facilities

The cryogenic nature of liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities poses a potential risk to low-temperature exposure of personnel, structural steel, equipment, and instrumentation, control and power cabling. The probability of cryogenic exposure from containment loss of LNG is inherently greater than the probability of a fire. Many precautions are taken to eliminate ignition sources in LNG facilities.
