Industry,process and equipment effectiveness benchmarks are published and readily available for nearly every activity.These benchmarks define industry-best performance and are the comparison standard to identify areas where improvement is necessary.Key performance benchmarks include production availability,maintenance cost,origin of maintenance requirements,work schedule compliance,backlog,work quality and equipment reliability expressed as mean-time-between-failure (MTBE).
