We often visualize art and science at opposite ends of the spectrum of human endeavor,but taken together,the two can provide insight into the stories that societies tell about their progress and prosperity.In artistic depictions of alchemy,science and art blend to tell nu-anced stories about the cultures that produced the two fields.
