The growing supply of sulfur continues to be a global concern since demand for the element is not keeping pace with supply.In 2004,worldwide sulfur production totaled 68 million tons,90% of it produced involuntarily.This trend is expected to continue as governments adopt even stricter dean-air regulations and bring about further reductions in sulfur in gasoline,diesel and marine fuels.
