New low-pressure condenser for efficient heat transfer

Alfa Laval has launched AlfaCond, a new plate condenser especially developed for condensing vapors under low-pressure, low-vacuum condi9tions. The new condenser is designed for vacuum condensation with one large inlet and two small condensate outlets and a medium-size cooling water connection. The unit is formed by a plate pack of semiwelded plate cassettes, with the welded channels to condense vapors and gasketed channels for the cooling water (Fig. 3).
