Though people experienced in maintaining equipment try to forestall failures by taking preventive measures based on their knowledge and experience,it is still possible for failures to occur due to completely unexpected factors.So it is essential to perform a thorough evaluation of a system's total adequacy,covering both problem and trouble-free areas simultaneously.This will help in considering the maximum possible alternative scenarios to minimize unexpected failure events.
