Marubeni Coal invests 5 million US dollars in Linc Energy

Marubeni Coal Pty Ltd has invested in Brisbane-based Linc Energy Limited (LNC) by taking up an off market placement of US5 million in Linc Energy at a premium price of 0.76 dollars per share for 7,371,000 shares. This follows the June 2007 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Marubeni Corporation and Linc Energy to explore further possible business opportunities using Linc Energy's Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) process.
