Mexico Alfa unit to build new plastics plant

A subsidiary of Alfa's petrochemicals unit announced that it is planning to build a polypropylene plant in Mexico,creating one of the largest plastics complexes in North America.Indelpro,a unit of Alpek,which is Alfa's petrochemicals arm,aims to strengthen its output of polypropylene with a new 350,000 tonnes per year plant at Altamira in Tamaulipas state.Financial details were not disclosed by Indelpro,which is also part owned by Basell,a joint venture of Royal Dutch/Shell and BASF.
