摘要

The presence of digestive carbohydrases was determined in seabream intestines,and the main activity identified was amylase.Optimum activity for this enzyme was found at pH 8.0 at 40degC.Amylase activity was highly sensitive to extreme pH,and temperatures exceeding 50degC.The use of SDS-PAGE zymograms allowed identification of amylase in the form of a high molecular mass fractio exceeding 100kDa.Results confirm the existence of a well developed amylse equipment in this species which supports the possibility of increasing the amount of carbohydrates in the formulation of its commercial feeds.
