Jacobs receives Atofina contract

Jacobs Engineering Group has announced that it is providing engineering,design and global procurement services to Atofina Petrochemicals (the petrochemical branch of the oil group Total).The officials have estimated the project at US40 million.In making the announcement,Mr Peter Evans,Vice President,Jacobs Group,said,"We are delighted to extend our working relationship with Atofina.Since 1996,this is our seventh major capital award,totaling approximately US450 million in capital implementation.One of our major focus issues is on delivering value.As an example,we are managing this project from our Houston office while passing on the savings from using our low-cost design centres".
