Madras Fertilizers to Restart Production of NPK Fertilizers

Madras Fertilizers Ltd (MFL, hopes to restart production of NPK (Nitrogen Phosphorous and Potassium) complex fertilizers. The company has arranged for raw materials with Indian Potash ltd (IPL) for production. MFL already under the purview of BIFR is awaiting clearance from Department of Fertilizers (DoF). In principle, DoF had cleared the move and now has to give Rs 100 crore comfort letter in favor of IPL to import raw material for MFL to commence production.
