USPTO changes scuttled ...for the time being

In a previous Patent FAKts article,we foreshadowed the introduction of significant changes to patent practice and procedure at the USPTO that were due to start I November 2007.In a bold I Ith hour move,Smithkline Beecham (GSK) was granted a preliminary injunction through the US District Court For Eastern Virginia that prevents the USPTO enforcing the proposed changes,for the time being.Equally of interest is the motivation behind GSK challenging the USPTO.
