摘要

This Program and Abstracts issue of HortScience contains summaries of technical reports, list of participants, and schedule of activities and events. A diverse range of topics are covered, including plant clonal propagation for propagators and plant breeders, effect of 1-methylcyclopropene on ethylene action, mechanisms of root-shoot communication, photosynthesis and organic fruit production. Twenty-seven workshops are added focusing on creative ideas in sustainable landscaping, evaluating the impacts and roles of agricultural innovation centres, and management and negotiating intellectual property rights when developing research agreements between the private and public sectors..
