TCL's Urea Capacity Doubling Project at Babrala on Hold

Mumbai: Tata Chemicals Limited (TCL) has put on hold its urea capacity doubling project at Babrala in Uttar Pradesh, pending policy clarity on gas allocation and pricing. The company said that the 1.3 million tonnes per annum (tpa) urea stream I of its greenfield joint venture fertiliser project in Gabon is expected to be commissioned within 36 months.
