The All-Party Gardening & Horticulture Group is a vital forum for the industry. Our elected rulers in Parliament are as diverse a lot as you could wish to meet. Like millions in the UK, many are gardeners. A fair sprinkling of them take a deeper interest in the subject and have become members of the All-Party Gardening & Horticulture Group. In 2000, concern among leaders of the horticulture industry about the sector being overshadowed by farming and its troubies prompted Horticulture Week to put forward the idea of an all-party parliamentary group. It teamed up with PR expert Mark Glover of Chelgate to highlight industry fears to MPs.
