Equipment upgrades offer potato growers more options than ever thanks to refinements of traditional machinery. Recent increases in commodity prices look likely to increase grower investment in new equipment this summer and potato harvesters are one area of machinery that looks set to benefit from the upswing. While there have been a number of developments in harvester design over the past few years, with self-propelled machines now well established on larger holdings, there is a sense of evolution rather than revolution when it comes to new features.
