摘要

Is the garden sector suffering in the credit crunch or is the industry putting its head in the sand and ignoring the economic chaos around it? HTA director general David Gwyther says why fixate on like-for-like figures when you should be planning a new business strategy. According to director Caroline Owen, Scotsdales' sales are three per cent up on last month and she is pleased with how things are going. Meanwhile, the HTA's Garden Industry Monitor figures show the three months' sales to the end ofAugust 2008 are 26 per cent up in garden centres.
