Building a case for park funding

A pilot project aims to prove the link between council spending and parks' quality. Parks professionals have long criticised a consistent lack of strong, detailed evidence on the relationship between spending, quality of parks and how green spaces benefit communities. One of the major gripes for the parks sector is that, while the money may be available for initial work, maintenance is an ongoing concern because that unknown data means parks get shunted down the local authority agenda.
