Warmer, drier summers and milder winters are the current bane of many people operating in the horticulture industry, but the associated effects of climate change aren't negative for everyone in the sector. The hotter summers being experienced in the UK of late have spurred a consumer demand for drought-tolerant plants, allowing Mediterranean nurseries, particularly those in Italy and Spain, to increase their offering to the UK wholesale and consumer market.
